The Clerical Endowment Fund
has been in existence since the beginning of the Austin DCCW. The money from the fund comes from Mass card enrollments, bequests from estates, special donations, and an annual drive in each parish. After at least $4000 has been donated to the fund in the name of an individual or family, the DCCW adds another $4000 for an $8000 burse. The CEF honors the donors at the annual CEF banquet at the Austin Diocesan CCW convention. The purpose of the Clerical Endowment Fund is urent: to aid in the education of seminarians for the Austin Diocese. Since 1950 the CEF has contributed over $4,350,000 to the education of seminarians.
