AUSTIN DCCW OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL AWARD
 

The Our Lady of Good Counsel Award is awarded every two years

AWARD CRITERIA

Nominees should meet the following criteria:
     * A woman who had made a significant contribution on the diocesan, deanery or parish level.
     * A woman who has served as an outstanding role model of service to others.
     * A woman whose life relects the Gospel values.
     * A woman who supports her church and enables others to share her gifts.
     * A woman who serves as a model of collaboration with others.

Nominations should have the support of the deanery or parish affiliates.  The nominee must be an Austin DCCW member actively involved in their deanery or parish work.  Nominees may be re-submitted in subsequent years.  Members currently serving on the Austin DCCW Board of Directors are ineligible.

NOMINATION DEADLINES AND SELECTION PROCESS

Nominations open Friday, December 1, 2023.  Deadline for submission is Thursday, March 1, 2024.  There will be no exceptions.  The nomination package should be sent directly to Austin DCCW office via email or regular mail and received by close of business on March 1, 2024.  No admissions will be accepted after this date.  EVERYTHING REQUIRED MUST BE SUBMITTED TOGETHER IN ONE MAILING.  Note, nominations sent via email will necessitate scanning and attachment of the reference letters.

SELECTION PROCESS

Only those serving on the Austin DCCW OLGC Award Selection Committee will review nominations and will select the award recipient of 2023 AUSTIN DCCW Our Lady of Good Counsel Award.  A blind review process will be used with each nomination package assigned a number.  The identity of the nominee will remain anonymous during the selection process; therefore, the nominee's name must only be used on the cover sheet of the application.  Throughout the application, please use only pronouns or "our nominee" or "the nominee" etc.  The Austin DCCW OLGC Award Selection Committee will review and select the award recipient.  The Chair will report directly to the Austin DCCW President.

AWARD PRESENTATION

The award will be presented at the Austin DCCW 2024 Annual Convention.  The award recipient will also be recognized in the Catholic Spirit and on the Austin DCCW Website.
